The following programs are for children currently in—or of age for—Primary School Grades 2 & 3:

G2/3 Ballet

In our fun and supportive Grades 2 & 3 Ballet classes, dancers continue to extend their technique, artistry and self-expression. Dancers are introduced to barre work and centre practice, with a focus on safe skill development.

We tailor lessons to the group, using creative tools like props, visuals and imagery to inspire engagement. Students work towards a mid-year in-house showing and an End-of-Year performance at a local theatre.

G2/3 Contemporary Dance & Movement Lab

In our Contemporary Dance & Movement Lab classes, students learn to:

Move efficiently and safely,

improve their co-ordination and body awareness and
•
experience the joy of dancing alongside friends!
•

The 'Movement Lab' portion of the class is where creativity is unleashed. Students are given tasks and improvisation scores which will be used to generate movement. Students collaborate with teachers to choreograph original dance works that will be presented at Nook Dance Centre performances throughout the year.

Movement Lab is all about:

Helping our students to find their own unique approach to movement and movement style.
