Kinderballet™ ‘Next Steps’
(PG1 Ballet)

Take your next steps with Kinderballet™!
Next Steps builds on our preschool program with a fun and challenging introduction to classical ballet. In Terms 1 and 2, students learn a traditional ballet, developing classical ballet technique and self-expression through dance.

The program balances structured ballet training with creativity.

In Terms 3 and 4, Prep & Grade 1 students prepare for our Nook Dance Centre End-of-Year Show where they will perform their class dance at a local theatre!

PG1 Contemporary

Contemporary Dance encourages individuality, confidence and self-expression.

Prep & Grade 1 students learn the foundations of contemporary dance technique including an introduction to floor-work, finding freedom and release through movement, travelling steps and partner work.

In every contemporary class, we include a creative element. Students are be given a theme or set of guidelines and could be asked to perform an improvisation or choreograph their own dance ‘phrase’, either individually or in a group.

In Terms 3 and 4, students prepare a dance to perform at the Nook Dance Centre’s End-of-Year Show at a local theatre!
